Bronson Beri
Bronson Beri (born 26 June 1989) is an New Zealand professional basketball player who currently plays for Nelson Giants of the New Zealand National Basketball League (NBL).
Born in Timaru, New Zealand, Beri first attended Roncalli College before moving to Nelson College in 2007.〔(Scholarship start of dream )〕 He went on to make his debut for the Nelson Giants that same year〔(Giants Among Boys )〕 and played a sparing role for the team until 2012 when he finally got his chance to shine. On 14 April 2012, Beri was having a career-best game with 12 points and 5 rebounds in 18 minutes of action before he jumped to block a Josh Pace shot late in the third quarter and his left leg folded under him when he landed. Consequently, he damaged the anterior cruciate ligament, the medial collateral ligament, and the patellar tendon, which ruled him out for the rest of the 2012 season and the entire 2013 season.〔(Cruel twist puts Beri on ice for the season )〕 Beri returned to the Giants squad for the 2014 season〔(A new cauldron for the Giants )〕 and went on to average 2.3 points and 2.1 rebounds in 11 games.〔(Player statistics for Bronson Beri )〕
